The Best Workouts for Strength & Vitality

As a person gets older, the physical challenge starts to get real. Being in the forties, it is sometimes disheartening to find that the body is not exactly the way it used to perform. Of course, expectations of growing old has to be realistic however still could not imagine that it would take such a huge toll on the physical strength. I also realised that the frequent backaches from sitting too long in office or carrying heavy groceries’ bags took longer to recover and sometimes could put a heavy toll on the other parts of body too (especially the glutes). Now, the backaches are the killers because sometimes they can turn nasty and I would get pretty bad back pain as a result.

Most people would suggest weights training or gym to strengthen the core muscles so that aches are less of an instance. Well, being a busy executive at work and also the thought of dragging my feet to the gym, the idea did not seem to work well in my context. So as time went by, I became lazy and the ”weight” starts to build on me instead. And it became more obvious that I would dread going out often in my new “heavyweight” body. I tried instant muscle relief and going for massages for my back pain but they were temporal. Going on diets and starving at times to lose weight but the results were negligible.

Until a year ago, I happened to came across an interesting topic and learnt something new. There is a ‘hidden’ body-part you have likely never heard of… and it is probably making you look like you are at least 5-7% higher body fat than you actually are. It tends to create a lower belly bulge, love handles that do not belong, and can also lead to lower back pain when left untreated. This new discovery made me wanting to start anew and to embark on making my body strong and youthful again.

I read about this particular therapist(Dr K) who used a new method in helping his clients to correct their postures and in the process strengthened this core muscle. In Physical Therapy, this is one of the most common body-parts that are screened for, an area that is seek out and fixed with hands-on attention, and one for which Dr K received specialized training. When released, his clients felt enormously better, almost as if blood flow returned to a vital area; and they have confidence to address new body goals. And so Dr K had been studying how this same body-part affects emotions, neurological balance, and confidence. Interestingly, it has an enormous effect, and when unrecognized can lead to sadness, depression, anxiety, or lack of will-power (Probably the reason why it made me felt low-spirit previously). Some time ago, he was given access to a brand new book on this exact topic, read it word for word, watched the videos that correspond, and then called a meeting with the authors. He found the information to be both fascinating and easily digestible. Profound, he might say… …and extremely important for you. So, here it is, and I recommend you read it page for page. ‘Unlock’ your abs, get rid of love handles, feel more self-confident, and get rid of old emotional baggage; all through this often missed body-part:

“I’m not a fitness professional, just a 62 year old guy who came across your website looking for help with several physical issues I have been experiencing.

As a former college basketball player I found it discouraging that no one could seem to help me with my lower back problems and more recently my Glutes and Hip flexors. That was until I found your site and ordered your exercise program which has dramatically improved each one of my conditions!”
